Congo Rep opens Dolisie cement plant24 March 2014, Published under Cement NewsDenis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo, inaugurated a new cement works in Dolisie, located in the south west province of Niari, on Saturday 22 March. The 0.3Mta works was financed and built by China-based Forspak International, who invested XAF34bn (US$71m). CIMAF to build plant in Congo14 February 2014, Published under Cement NewsMorocco’s Ciment d’Afrique (CIMAF) plans to build a cement works in Kouilou, in the south of the Republic of Congo. The new plant, with undisclosed capacity, represents and investment of CFA20bn (US$42m) and is expected to generated around 1000 direct and indirect jobs. In addition, CIMAF and its parent company Addoha, intend to build thousands of social and affordable housing in the country. |
