The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has announced 4,407,695t of cement exports in the first quarter of the calendar year (21 March 2018-21 June 2019), valued at over US$159.3m. HeidelbergCement reduces activity in Georgia

The output of Iran’s cement industry fell by 3.7 per cent YoY to 28.5Mt for the first six months of the current financial year (started 20 March 2017), according to Trend News Agency. Iran has exported cement to the value US$233m in the first seven months of the current financial year (started 20 March 2017). In terms of volumes, 7.1Mt of cement were exported to some 34 countries during this period. A 0.6Mta cement factory is being set up as a a joint venture between Ghana and Iran, at the Dawa Industrial Enclave, on the Tema-Aflao road, Ghana. The output of Iranian cement production facilities has fallen by 2.6 per cent YoY. Iran has produced 23.62Mt of cement within the first five months of this financial year, compared to the 24.25Mt produced during the corresponding period last year. Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani, has opened the 1Mta Bagheran Cement plant in Asadiyeh, Darmian County, South Khorasan province. The new facility costs approximately US$130m, IRNA reported.
