Buzzi Unicem reports on sustainability achievements

Buzzi Unicem has lowered its specific gross scope 1 CO 2 emissions from 689kg/t cementitious product in 2021 to 664kg/t in 2022, according to its 2022 Sustainability Report. This marks a 3.6 per cent reduction YoY.  Compared to 2020, scope 1 CO 2 emissions are down 4.3 per cent. UltraTech commissions 2.2Mta grinding unit expansion

UltraTech Cement has commissioned its 2.2Mta grinding unit expansion at Patliputra , Bihar, India. International engineering and construction firm Laing O’Rourke has announced that low-carbon concrete is now standard on all its UK projects. Pakistan’s Fauji Cement Company has reported a 30.4 per cent YoY increase in profit in the nine months ended 31 March 2023 (9MFY22-23). Profit over the period came in at PKR6.97bn (US$24.67m), up from PKR5.35bn in the same period a year earlier.
