Maintenance took place at CBR’s Antoing cement plant for a period of  three weeks  (between 17 January  and 6 February 2022). All of CBR’s maintenance teams were mobilised to carry out a set of tasks. Côte d’Ivoire’s Prime Minister, Jérôme Patrick Achi, has inaugurated the second cement plant of Société de Ciment de Côte d’Ivoire in Yopougon’s industrial zone in Abidjan. Mangal Industries selects Sinoma to build 3Mta cement plant

An indigenous Nigerian firm, Mangal Industries had signed a US$600m deal agreement with Sinoma International Engneeering of China for the construction of a 3Mta cement plant and 50MW captive power plant in Mopa, Kogi State, Nigeria . The factory will rely on the best available technology for cement production and in line with the highest environmental standards and scheduled to be completed in early 2024.

Vicat reports 29% rise in consolidated net income in 2021

Vicat saw its consolidated sales advance by 11.3 per cent to EUR3123m in 2021 from EUR2805m in 2020. At constant scope and exchange rates the increase was 16.2 per cent. FLSmidth sees 5% rise in order intake in 2021

FLSmidth reported a five per cent increase in order intake in 2021 as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic waned and project sites became more accessible. ACC Ltd has commissioned 1.6Mta grinding capacity in Tikaria , Uttar Pradesh, India. Cementos Pacasmayo sees 40% rise in sales volumes in 2021

Sales volumes of cement, concrete and prefabricated products of Peru-based Cementos Pacasmayo fell 6.2 per cent  in the 4Q21 when compared with the 4Q20. Income was up 10.4 per cent as cement and concrete prices increased in line with inflation and by a change in the sales mix, favouring cement and concrete at better prices.
