Lasselsberger Group's 700tpd white cement plant nears commercial start-up

The Lasselsberger group of Austria is preparing to launch a new 700tpd of white cement plant in the Abzelilovsky district of Bashkiria, Russia. It is the second white cement plant in Bashkiria.   The Cemix plant under construction in Bashkiria will start producing its main product in May 2021. Ecebol plant to produce 0.573Mt of cement in 2021

State-run Ecebol expects its plant in Oruro, Bolivia, to produce 0.573Mt of cement in 2021, according to Jose Luis Jimenez, the company’s manager. It is forecast to achieve sales of over BOB463m (US$67.2m). The plant was inaugurated in August 2019. Its output is IP-40 and IP-30 cement.

Maple Leaf Cement sees 13% increase in sales

Pakistan’s Maple Leaf Cement has reported a 13 per cent rise in net sales to PKR26.1bn (US$168.29m) for the nine-month period ended 31 March 2021, up from PKR23.1bn in the year-ago period. Profit after tax also reached PKR5.52bn from a loss of PKR3.7bn in the 9MFY19-20. Clinker production declined 8.2 per cent YoY to 3.66Mt from 3.99Mt, while cement production slipped 7.6 per cent to 3.8Mt during the 9MFY20-21. Holcim Philippines reports 81% rise in net income

Holcim Philippines reported an 81 per cent rise in net income to PHP909.35m (US$18.79m) in the first quarter of 2021, compared to PHP501.54m in the year-ago period. However, revenues declined six per cent YoY to PHP6.81bn from PHP7.27bn in the 1Q20. Pakistan’s DG Khan Cement has announced a net profit of PKR2.24bn (US$14.45m) in the first quarter of 2021, compared to a PKR1.07bn loss in the year-ago period. For the 9MFY20-21, the company has reported a PKR3.25bn profit against a PKR2.01bn loss in the first nine months of FY19-20. Bolivia’s Fábrica Nacional de Cemento SA (Fancesa) inaugurated its new production line at Cal Orcko, near Sucre. The US$215.45m investment will bring plant capacity to 2100tpd. LafaregHolcim's Asia Pacific division recorded strong cement sales of 18.9Mt, and increase of 19.6 per cent from 15.8Mt in the 1Q20. Hranice sees 12% increase in 2020 profit

Czech cement producer Cement Hranice, owned by Germany-based Dyckerhoff AG, saw its profit rise 12.1 per cent YoY to CZK561.5m (US$26.2m) in 2020 on sales of CZK1.797bn, up 1.2 per cent YoY.
