Summit reports 10% revenue advance in 2023

Summit Materials has announced a 19.8 per cent YoY increase in net revenue to US$613.1m in the fourth quarter of 2023. Adjusted EBITDA over the same period advanced by 14.5 per cent to US$136.5m. The three-month period saw its aggregates business report a 5.7 per cent YoY increase in sales volumes, while cement sales volumes declined 11.1 per cent. Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies has reported revenue of EUR6m in 2023, a 2.7 times increase on the previous year. Gulf Cement Co has posted revenue of AED462.7m (US$125.99m) for 2023, up 33 per cent from the AED348.1m reported in the previous year. Confidence Cement PLC , Bangladesh’s leading cement manufacturer, recently announced its financial results on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSX). Vicat has reported 8.1 per cent YoY growth in consolidated sales to EUR3.94bn in 2023, compared to EUR3.64bn in the previous year. Over the same period EBITDA has improved by 29.8 per cent from EUR570m to EUR740m. The EBITDA margin has expanded by 3.1 points from 15.7 per cent to 18.8 per cent. Turkey’s Medcem has announced a partnership with Brett Concrete, one of the largest independent concrete companies in the UK, to establish a terminal at Sheerness Port in Kent, UK. Kohat Cement Co Ltd announced its financial result for 1HFY23-24 on the Pakistan Stock Exchange website on 14 February, posting a profit after tax (PAT) of PKR4.453bn (US$15.9m) compared to a PAT of PKR3.578bn in the same period last year (SPLY). Lebap Cement exceeds 1Mt production in 2023

The Lebap cement plant in Turkmenistan produced more than 1Mt of cement of various grades last year. About 107,500t of cement were sent to neighbouring Uzbekistan last year, reports Turkmenportal.
