Cementos Pacasmayo EBITDA up 14.4 %

Peru-based Cementos Pacasmayo's consolidated EBITDA in the 3Q15 increased 14.4 per cent to PEN99.6m (US$30.3m) in 3Q15 from PEN87.1m in 3Q14, giving an EBITDA margin of 31.8 per cent versus 27.5 per cent in 3Q14. Anhui Conch Cement reports decline in operating profit

Operating profit at Anhui Conch Cement fell 31 per cent YoY to CNY7.05bn (US$1.1bn) in the nine months through September on the back of weaker demand and pricing competition. Revenue dropped 13 per cent to CNY37.9bn, the Shanghai-listed company reported Tuesday.

CIMAF inaugurates Cameroon plant

Ciment de l’Afrique (CIMAF), a subsidiary of the Addoha Group of Morocco, has opened its new factory in Cameroon. The new plant, located in the industrial area of Bonaberi in Douala, was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Cameroon, Philemon Yang. Commissioning of the plant comes nearly a year after the start of cement production by the plant with a current capacity of 500,000tpa.

SCCC third-quarter net profit down on weaker demand and pricing

Siam City Cement Co (SCCC) of Thailand posted a 3Q15 net profit of THB823m (US$23.1m), falling 22 per cent YoY. Lehigh Cement Company (Heidelbergcement Group) ordered a semi-mobile limestone crushing plant at HAZEMAG for its Union Bridge works, USA. Peru's largest cement producer Unacem boosted net income by 16.2 per cent over the nine months to the end of September 2015 due to higher prices and lower costs.
