HeidelbergCement India reports marginal uptick in revenue

HeidelbergCement India has reported revenue of INR5956.4m (US$72.5m) in the first quarter of FY2023-24 ended 30 June 2023. This is up marginally on the INR5898m seen in the same period a year earlier. Net profit over the same timeframe advanced 1.37 per cent to INR523.2m as fuel and packaging costs eased. China Shanshui issues profit warning

China Shanshui Cement Group Ltd has issued a profit warning for the opening six months of 2023. The company has said that it expects to report a YoY fall in profit of 145-150 per cent compared to the same period a year earlier. According to the company, the contraction is due to the lower price of its cement products over the six-month period.

Oman Cement Co sees net profits rise 32% in 1H23

Oman Cement Co , which is listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange, has achieved a 32.02 per cent increase in net profit for the first half of 2023. According Oman Cement’s financial statement, it achieved annual profits of OMR4.19m for the 1H23, surpassing the OMR3.17m achieved in the 1H22. The company saw revenue growth of 5.13 per cent in the 1H23 and revenue totalled IMR36.76m, up from OMR34.96m in the 1H22.
