Cementos San Marcos is one of the latest additions to Colombia’s cement production base. The 350tpd Cementos San Marcos mini cement plant is situated near the village of San Marcos Valle del Cauca. Cementos San Marcos’ new plant allows the company a closer connection to regional building sites and most of its output is used for its own use infrastructure projects, as Colombia builds toll roads and links the capital Bogotá to the north. This vertical integration offers important cost benefits and helps the company maintain a competitive position.
