Philosophy

The success of Cemtech is simple. The philosophy for each three-day event is to develop a high-quality programme with authoritative presentations by senior industry figures alongside an international exhibition with world-class suppliers showcasing state-of-the-art equipment, innovations and technical solutions. Delegates are invited to attend cement plant and terminal visits, as well as expert technical workshops. Cemtech provides the highest-quality hotel venues and unbeatable Cemtech hospitality throughout. Spouses and partners can enjoy complimentary tourist programmes. And, not least, Cemtech offers delegates and exhibitors the lowest-possible prices to attend and participate.

A Cemtech event is an opportunity to meet international colleagues, engage in the important issues of the day and explore opportunities for the future. You can see how popular Cemtech has become by reviewing some of our past events or event photos. There really is no better cement conference for the global cement industry.

1991

The leading conference event for the global cement sector, organised by International Cement Review. Delivering business insight, market knowledge and technical expertise.

The Cemtech story began in March 1991 when the first major eastern European cement conference and exhibition was organised in Prague, Czech Republic, before an audience of more than 300 cement specialists over a three-day event.

The event rapidly established itself as the leading independent conference and exhibition for the global cement industry, meeting every year and attracting large international audiences from across the world.

CemNet e-Learning courses provide a thorough learning experience for cement industry personnel, with a wide range of features designed to accelerate full understanding of the complete manufacturing process.

Coursework, assessments, expert advice and an interactive approach, all contribute to make CemNet e-Learning an engaging and highly flexible learning experience.

Students can work alone, either in the office or at home, wherever a computer with an internet connection is available. Better still, each student chooses the time of day best suited to him/her to complete specific lectures, modules and quizzes.

CemNet e-Learning courses can be specifically tailored to an individual cement company or factory to enhance the learning experience for a team of students/staff within a particular work environment.

While taking a CemNet e-Learning course, the opportunity to debate specific issues and problems with other students from around the world will enhance the learning. Furthermore, having a well accomplished lecturer on hand to provide individual tuition generates extra confidence in the chosen topics and technology issues.

Since its launch in 2005, CemNet e-Learning has been used by thousands of students worldwide. Such personel training has been taken up by multinationals including Lafarge, Holcim, Cemex and HeidelbergCement through to major companies such as Titan, Buzzi Unicem, Siam Cement, Yanbu Cement, Egyptian Cement, Vassilliko, JK. Cements, Ultratech, YTL Cement, VNCC, Cementos Lima, Adelaide Brighton, Blue Circle Southern, East African Portland, Natal Portland and many more.

CemNet e-Learning is also being increasingly used by equipment suppliers as a training tool for technicians, sales and marketing personnel wishing to gain a full understanding of cement industry technology. Successful students from FLSmidth, Polysius, KHD and many others, highlight the value of such on-line training.

2006

A central meeting point for all those operating in the region

Cemtech began expanding its successful concept to other regions. Cemtech Middle East & Africa (MEA) - now in its 15th year - has become a central meeting point for all those operating in the region. The latest MEA event was held in Dubai, UAE, between 16-19 February 2020. The event attracted senior industry delegates from all corners of Africa and the Middle East.

Cemtech also made its debut in the Americas in 2006, hosting its first dedicated conference for the regional cement sector in the United States. The most recent meeting under the Cemtech Americas banner was held in Orlando, Florida, in December 2015.

Cemtech Asia has also evolved into an annual industry gathering with a special focus on the vibrant Asian and ASEAN markets. Previous meetings have been held in Singapore, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Vietnam and Thailand.
