One of the strategic goals set by Saudi cement producer Yanbu Cement Co (YCC) is to maximise asset utilisation at the lowest specific thermal and electrical energy but the highest-possible quality (see Figure 1). This is reflected in a significantly increased clinker production and improved clinker quality.
