Efficient enclosed handling
Growing global cement demand calls for new levels of efficiency and environmental protection. Recent Siwertell ship unloader deliveries and orders, including projects in the USA, Europe and the Middle East, demonstrate the ability to meet this demand and more. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented effect on the global cement market, steady growth is still predicted, predominantly driven by rising populations and the intrinsic demand for infrastructure.
According to Fortune Business Insights, the industry is currently valued at US$340.61bn and is predicted to rise to US$481.73bn by 2029 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.1 per cent.
This rise in demand will permeate the port, and it is here that through-ship efficiencies and environmental protection will come under greater scrutiny.
