The 10th Cemtech Middle East &Africa (MEA) conference & exhibition took place in Dubai, UAE, on 8-11 February 2015.
Now established as the event for cement professionals active in the Middle East and Africa markets, Cemtech MEA 2015 attracted 270 delegates from over 35 nations for the latest edition of this prestigious annual meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, one of the city's leading five-star hotels.
Over the course of the three-day event 25 top-class presentations from industry experts reported on the market and technical advances in countries spanning the north African and Middle East regions.
The impact of the oil crisis on producer costs and cement demand in the Gulf and beyond was the key focus on the first morning, alongside indepth market and corporate analysis of the GCC countries, plus a grand overview of cement manufacturing on the African continent.
The comprehensive technical programme featured new greenfield projects, best practice in cement manufacturing with stimulating case studies tackling key issues such as plant optimisation, alternative fuel systems and their implementation, new plant construction and much more.
The Cemtech exhibition again provided an important space for delegates to network and interact with a range of technology suppliers, from turnkey suppliers to category specialists covering everything from grinding to bagging and distribution.
Cemtech’s renowned hospitality was very much in evidence with a desert safari organised for the more adventurous partners, while the main programme concluded with a sumptuous Gala Dinner under the Dubai night sky.
Cemtech looks forward to hosting the next Middle East & Africa conference in 2016.
