INFORM will host a logistics workshop entitled 'Optimising Cement and Ready-Mix Logistics' on Tuesday, 16 October, during the forthcoming Cemtech Europe 2018 conference and exhibition.

The three-hour workshop aims to help optimise the utilisation of logistical assets in European cement and ready-mix markets. Based on best practices from the industry, it will provide detailed business cases for each of the applications and deliver a blend of big-picture thinking with practical ideas.

Typical applications of digital logistics include centralised truck/haulier assignment and route planning across multiple plants, business analytics and benchmarking, as well as combining inventory and transport planning into a material replenishment process (MRP).

Dr Paul Flachskampf, head of Road Transport at INFORM's Logistics Division, will deliver the workshop, which is targeted at the senior management of cement and ready-mix companies.

The complimentary workshop will be exclusively available to delegates of Cemtech Europe, which takes place at the Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, Turkey, on 14-17 October. Register your interest for the event at the Cemtech desk when collecting your delegate badge.

Please note: the workshop will be held between 9.00am-12.00pm on Tuesday, 16 October, and is subject to availability.
