INFORM will host a logistics workshop entitled 'Optimising Cement and Ready-Mix Logistics' on Tuesday, 19 February, during the forthcoming Cemtech MEA 2019 conference and exhibition.

The 1.5hr workshop aims to help optimise the utilisation of logistical assets in cement and ready-mix markets. Based on best practices from the industry, it will provide detailed business cases for each of the applications and deliver a blend of big-picture thinking with practical ideas.

Typical applications of digital logistics include centralised truck/haulier assignment and route planning across multiple plants, business analytics and benchmarking, as well as combining inventory and transport planning into a material replenishment process (MRP).
