Çimsa has implemented company-wide initiatives to improve environmental excellence, including the increased use of alternative raw materials at Eskişehir; addressing carbon dioxide and nitrogen emissions, along with the efficient use of water and energy resources, in Kayseri; and the installation of a self-controlling Smart Energy Management system in Mersin, designed to track energy consumption per piece of equipment, and help lower clinker and cement costs.

The ICR Cement Industry Awards 2019 will be honoured at the forthcoming Cemtech Europe conference, taking place at the InterContinental Berlin, Germany, on 1-2 October 2019.
