Delegates attending Cemtech Asia 2024 will have the opportunity (subject to availability) to visit Indocement's award-winning Citeureup cement plant, one of the largest integrated cement plant complexes in the world.
Located in Bogor, West Java, Citeureup is home to 10 production lines, including the only white cement plant in Indonesia, giving a total cement production capacity of 18.75Mta and total clinker production capacity of 13.16Mta.
As part of Indocement’s aim to reach an alternative fuel rate of over 40 per cent by 2030, the Citeureup complex began operations of a hot disc facility in late 2023. Forming part of the company’s ongoing investment in mitigating climate change, the hot disc technology enables the consumption of non-shredded refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and other bulky alternative fuel materials.
The plant is also installing a ground-mounted solar PV facility, capable of generating 45GWh/y. The new PV facility, which will potentially reduce CO2 emissions by 40,000tpa, is due to be commissioned at the end of 2024.
