Anhui Conch Cement Co - April 2015
Earlier this month a delegation from Anhui Conch Cement Company Ltd met with the governor of the Chelyabinsk region in Russia to discuss the possibility of setting up a cement plant in the South Urals. During the four-day visit, various sites were inspected along with the Atlyan limestone deposit near Miass and the Slavyansk deposit near Bakal. The company is reportedly yet to decide whether to upgrade the wet production facilities at the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works or to launch a new greenfield project for dry cement production.
