Dangote Cement Cameroon sold 0.332Mt of cement in the opening quarter of 2018, boosting its market share in the country to 44 per cent. Infrastructure projects for the 2018 African Football Nations Cup have increased demand of late, which stood at around 0.76Mt in the first three months of this year.

Dangote currently operates one cement plant in Cameroon with a production capacity of 1.5Mta. However, it is due to open a second plant in 2019, located in Yaoundé, taking the producer’s total capacity in the country to 3Mta.
