UltraTech Cement - August 2018

UltraTech Cement is setting up waste heat recovery systems (WHRS) at five of its plants over the next two years, giving a cumulative capacity of 63MW power and more than doubling its overall WHRS capacity from 58 to 121MW. This will enable the company to reduce CO2 emissions by 0.72Mta, lowering its overall carbon footprint and allowing it to meet 15 per cent of its power requirement from waste heat recovery.
