China National Building Materials (CNBM) - August 2018

China National Building Materials (CNBM) has been appointed as contractor on a new 3Mta kiln line in Uzbekistan. Akhangaracement, a subsidiary of Eurocement, is investing US$150m in the new dry-process facility where construction is already underway. A new general substation has been installed to keep production at the existing kiln lines at full volume throughout construction, while the building of a new substation has begun. The transport system at the site is also being modernised to include an access road and a new customs warehouse to optimise logistics. Commissioning is expected to take place in mid-2020.
