Argentina's Loma Negra saw cement volumes decline by 11.7 per cent to 1.52Mt during the 1Q19. Of this Argentina provided 1.37Mt, a reduction of 13.8 per cent, and Paraguay 0.15Mt, an increase of 7.8 per cent. Ready-mixed concrete deliveries amounted to 0.26Mm³, an improvement of 1.8 per cent, while the volume of aggregates sold eased by 0.7 per cent to 0.29Mt.

Loma Negra’s turnover improved by 3.6 per cent to ARS7438m (US$183m, with the dollar denominated turnover fell by 20.6 per cent) and adjusted EBITDA advanced by 17.9 per cent to ARS2136m (US$54m, a US$5m decline). The pretax profit was 34.2 per cent higher at ARS1271m esos (US$32.6m). Net attributable profit was 51.1 per cent ahead at ARS1014m (US$26m).
