Ours is a 120m long 940 TPD wet-process kiln based on carbide slurry and limestone as raw material. We are having problems of high back-end draft and ring formation in the preburning zone. This leads to loss of production. Kindly suggest us how to overcome this problem.

This appers to be a problem at DCM Kota India Kiln. The problem of back end draft is related to ring formation. The ring acts like a damper inside the kiln and increase in back end draft is normally experienced.
If the mixture of limstone and carbide slurry is inhomogenius then it is likely to facilitate in ring formation. The condition of chain system may be examined and corrected if possible.
