What does high alkalis (or chloride) in the bypass dust indicate?. Does high alkals indicate high alkalis in our kiln so we should take action against it? or does it indicate that our bypass system is working with high efficiency and eliminating most of the harmful material out of our system? WHAT I MEAN IS SHOULD I BE HAPPY OR SAD?
If you should be happy or said depends on the alkaine and chloride levels in your hot meal entering the kiln.
High levels of those components indicate that your bypass has some effect but may indicate also that your bypass rate is to high.
Check the hot meal chemistry against the industry standard diagram for lexpected ight and heavy coatings. This may give you an indication if different operation settings are advisable.
