P2O5

I heard that P2O5 affects on clinker properties, it can improve late strength of cement but I am not sure if is it correct or not?!? If you have any experience relate to this topic, please share us

Thanks

Re: P2O5

Hi,

I have some experience with that affect. At the first few times, I didn't believe P2O5 can improve late strength of cement but now I think it is true. Please also note that if P2O5 in clinker increases, early strength will be lower than normal condition. In my plant, if P2O5 increases 0.15-0.2% I can see a big change in cement quality

Regards,

Tam

Re: P2O5

Phosphorous pentoxide(P2O5) limiting range should be max 1% and preferable range should be 0.3-0.5%.A higher P2O5 have following effects,

1.Accelerates the clinkerization reaction.

2.Reduces the intensity of internal recycle.

3.Reduces early strength.

4.Reduces C3S content.

Re: P2O5

How one does reduces the lowering early strength effect of P2O5 If you have experience related to this issue,

I would appreciate to receive your sharing.
