I think this limit for VRM G.B point . but i want to know limit of vib.on mill body.
Normally sensor install one meter above the table on body.

First of all it is bad for Gear box to run on max vibration level. Evey manufacturer has their own norms for Vertical Mill vibration levels.
1) FLS gives tripping level of 6mm/sec on vibration immediately of main motor.
2) Loesce give tripping level on body vibration around 13mm/sec of main motor.
But we should be very care ful during opeation not to go more than 2mm/sec

I think 13.0 mm/sec. high alram only .(if vibration is percit for 20.00 sec). if vib.more than 20.0sec. than mill motor tripped.
but i want to know .how they give this limit on basic in mill body welding quality or
mill body material of costruction because after some year mill body required more repairing job and rocker arm replacement .
if anybody have an idea for above matter. pl send mail on my id
