is there any criteria in deciding the direction of rotation of ball mill or vrm table and kiln?

Direction of rotation is free, but some auxiliary equipment must be adapted to the direction of rotation. I mainly think of
- lifting and classifying liners in ball mills
- position of clinker cooler (lateral offset between cooler median line and kiln center line) to center the chute of the clinker.
