What is the main purpose of ratainer ring inside the kiln, and actually how many retainer rings we need inside the kiln

Retainer ring provide support at the end of brick lining thereby restricting the sliding motion of bricks downward when kiln is in rotation.Normally 2 rings are provided at the discharge end of the kiln.
