Dear Ted,

 Thank you very much. I've found a method which is a little bit complicated. If I understand the method I'll write it here. It's written in the book Standard Methods of Chemical Analysis written by Scott.

Likely, we have to first try with 0,1...0,5. Find the most suitable one for the kiln. Then apply it.

 If I found the CaF2 content of the rock then I will start with experiments. I will share the results.

Best regards,

Firat

dear Faslan,

There is method to determine Florine in lab. It is determine by

1. Convert all metal florine to metal sulphte by reacting with sulphuric acid.

2.The gaseous HF with react with SiO2 to get gaseous silicon tetra floride.

3.pass through water

4.silicon tetra floride will convert to florosilicic acid

5.Titrate against standard NaOH to get florine value.

MX2+H2SO4----> XSO4+HF

SiO2+HF-----> H2O+SiF4

SiF4+H2O----->H2SiF6+SiO2

H2SiF6+NaOH--->NaF+SiO2+H2O

6. any acid base indicator is required

This method is applicable is the inorganic sample does not contain Cl , if it contains Cl than the result will show Total F as Cl+F(in molar )

Determine cl separately and deduct from the moles of total to get F

Thanks

Dear all,

Thank you.

 I've found this in the book "Standard Methods of Chemical Analysis" written by Scott.

A good source I can advise you, it can give you many titration method to determine substance.
