Dear Ted and Prisoner it had been a nice discussion so far If we observe the Clinker which has been exposed to high temperature under microscopy it will show the alite with large crystals with internal cracks and the other effect of Clinker getting exposed to high maximum temperature will lead to alite cannibalism very large crystals of alite. we do face problem occasionally in oil well cement with these type of Clinker which leads to problems in rheological properties due to less reactive Clinker. if you are interested to view some slides of large alite crystals ps let me know i will send it Regards Arvind
