Dear all,
Can we operate plant on full capacity without having DIP tube in bottom cyclone.
What are expected effect on Production, PH fan load, Cyclone exit and cone T & P and other operational changes if you know in such condition.
Thanks.

hello every one...
yes you can but with some extra Kcal...
and may some P fluctuation
Hey;
We are running 5000 tpd kiln with the maximum capacity without bottom cyclone dip tube (due to shortage of spare parts). Running the kiln without a dip tube may only decrease the settling efficiency of bottom cyclone which can result in:
1) A higher temperature at top of the preheater
2) A higher heat consumption.
3) A little rise in negative pressure at top.
Best Regards
Nael
we are running a plant with double string top twin cyclones,
cyclone 5 is with out dip tube and still we are getting full production or even more.
Regards,
Sheikh
