we have problem high literweight with high free lime, please advice.
Hello Vinay,
One possible reason is that your raw meal burnability is poor. Poor burnability will result in dense, hard-burned clinker which at the same time has high free lime. If the burnability is poor enough, no amount of burning will result in a reduction in the high residual free lime content because it is locally isolated within the clinker matrix, invariably surrounded by an Alite (C3S) barrier.
Poor burnability may be caused by any of the following properties;-
1. High clinker LSF
2. High clinker SR
3. Large amount of +125um calcite in the raw meal.
4. Large amount of +32um quartz in the raw meal.
There are other factors which can lead to poor clinker burnability, such as the addition of coarse argillaceous, siliceous or calcareous waste streams to the preheater or insufflated into the burning zone. But the four listed above are the most common.

we dont have problem of burnabilty,silica ratio is below 2.1%, but only aluminia modulus (1.6-1.9%) is very high we try to maintain higher side tc(79 to80%) and try to run kiln but some time same raw mix tc producing ball formation and liquied increasing from 26% to 30% in clinker.
we also facing problem for kiln main drive tripping twice in day on over current, we are using twin drive 110kw x 2 with VFD.
