we are maintaning A/F ratio from 1.8 to 2.2. it is difficult for us to bring down ratio with avialable additive meterials. we are continiously facing problem of ring and boulders formation. Is high A/F ratio is cause for all these problems or SM is 2,0 to 2. 30. your advice is highly appriciable.

Yes, your A/F ratio is towards the high end of the normal range for A/F (1.3 - 2.5) while your SM is near the low end of its normal range (2 - 3). This means that you tend to have a lot of liquid phase with a high viscosity.
This situation could cause excessively thick coating in certain places and subsequent clinker ball formation.
If it is at all possible, I suggest that you try to either reduce your AM or increase your SM, or preferably both.

Yes, any abnormal coating or ring formation will increase the chances of brick failure. Do you have much coating or ring material falling away and coming out through the kiln? Sometimes you can notice this as oversize lumps of irregular shape in the clinker as it comes out of the cooler.
Sometimes, depending on the location of the ring/excessive coating you can also notice it in a sudden unexplained increase in MgO in the clinker analyses. (due to the loss of magnesia brick)
