Kiln inlet spillage

We are facing the problem of kiln inlet hot material leakage. So far  we could not traceout the reason for such heavy spillage and feed reduction was the only alternative step so far we have chosen.Anybody having any experience will be appreciated.

Did the kiln inlet spillage happen after a shutdown(after brick refractory changing) or suddenly one fine day

re Kiln inlet spillage

Yeah I would say..Its on one fine day....For some reasons(unknown) there takes place heavy leakage and for that we are forced to reduce the feed rate drastically (from 500t/h to some times 400t/h or less) and run the kiln....The spillage then stops after sometimes and we gradually increase the feed rate and come back to the original level.
