Dear All
I heard that now a days cement kiln preheaters are desiged with only one cyclone at the top instead of pair of cyclones at the top.
I think it will result in higher dust emmission from preheater or low collection efficiency of top stage.
It will further increase the load on preheater fan & demanding for higher size of dust collection & transportation equipements.
Also the diameter of the top stage is still less than those of lower stages even with single stage top cyclone.
I think the people thinking of taking such preheater must deeply understand the advantages & disadvantages of the same & than take a good decision.
Cement industry experts please do comment if I am wrong.
