Dear Ted,

Thanks for your prompt response.

Please do you have a procedure for determining soluble sulphate in limestone.

Thanks

Hello Haliff,

There are several standard test methods available which cover the testing of water soluble sulphate in aggregates and soils, which also apply to limestone eg;

http://www.ejwglendinning.co.uk/sites/default/files/download/Limestone-Aggregates-v2.pdf

BS 1377-3:1990 Clause 5.5, "Soils - Water-Soluble Sulphate Content"

EN 1744-1:1998 "Water Soluble Sulphate Content of Aggregate"

ASTM C1580-09e1 "Standard Test Method for Water-Soluble Sulfate in Soil"

Unfortunately I don't have a copy of those methods so, unless someone else in the group has a copy they're willing to share, you'll have to obtain them online from the relevant standards authority.

Regards,

Ted.
