Our kiln dimension is 3.8 mt x 56 mt. we are facing a problem of hard ring in kiln at about 18 mts from the discharge side. Tried to dislodge by reducing the axial air pressure and by taking out the burner about 300 mm, but not successful, Please be kind to share your experiences.

Have you yet tried to increase your silica ratio in your Rawmeal? I remember a time at our plant where we were fighting a ring. We ended up having an issue with a feeder in the rawmill and unintentionally rased our SR in kilnfeed to 2.8. Yes the result was hard on shell temp due to striping of coating, however it removed the ring.
