CAN ANYONE SAY ,HOW TO CALUCULATE THE % OF POZZOLONIC MATREIAL IN THE CEMENT ,,,IS THERE ANY TEST TO FIND OUT THAT % OF POZZOLONIC MATERIAL

Hello Tendulkar,

One method is by testing the insoluble residue of OPC, PPC and pozzolan and calculating the % pozzolan by a mass balance. (See http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18965371)

The formula for calculating the % Pozzolan in PPC is then ;-

P = [ (IRppc - IRopc) / (IRp - IRopc) ] * 100

Where;-

P = % pozzolan in PPC.

IRppc= % Insoluble Residue in PPC.

IRopc = % Insoluble Residue in OPC

IRp = % Insoluble Residue in pozzolan.
