Roll Press Zero Gap

Good Day Everyone,

In our roll press the usual zero gap is 10mm. Due to the wear of the roll press the stop blocks were shortened and now the zero gap is 8mm because of the condition of the rolls. Is this a problem having the gap at 8mm or should it be a minimum of 10mm

Regards,

Shastri

re Roll Press Zero Gap

Dear,

As you know roll is wear out more at centre of roll.

When we reduced zero gap  from 10 to 8 on basic of roll profile of both roll end portion.

Basic law of operation gap = 1.5 *max, size of input material size

So in your case you can optimized basic gap with your input size.

Other wise rollpress unstable condition like skew, hopper choking problem.
