using alternate fuel

Sir,

 We are using alternate fuel such as tyre chips wood chips manually in the calciner and we are facing lot of problem of co generation, flase air ingress to the system when we open the inspection hole to feed the tyre chips as well as no uniform control of main fuel due to interrupted flow of these alternate fuel and subsequently kiln operation disturbances. Any body having experienced it pl inform

Dear,

You need to install Alt fuel feeding system with double gates operating simultaneously so that false air does not enter. For consistant feeding there should be one surge hopper before these gates.

Thanks ANM. 

Instead of double gates we have rotary air lock installed . Still we face lot of fluctuations

in fuel feeding and operation disturbances. i feel it will be the same with double gates as well
