Huaxin Cement has forecast a rise in net profit between 46-56 per cent YoY from CNY2.1bn (US$305m) in the first half of 2019 when compared with the 1H18, according to Reuters. Oman’s Raysut Cement Co has established a partnership with MSG Group to set up a grinding unit in Somaliland, an autonomous region of Somalia. South Valley Cement posts loss in 1Q19
Following reports that its total profit fell 54 per cent in 2018 , Egypt-based South Valley Cement has announced that it made a loss in the first three months of 2019. The company has recorded a net loss of EGP38.45m (US$2.3m) in the 1Q19, compared to a net profit of EGP5.9m in the corresponding period of 2018.
