Indonesian-based PT Semen Tonasa plans to build cement packing plants in Pontianak and Ternate.  
 
Construction of the plants, to cost around Rp120bn (US$13m) is to start this year, said Sattar Taba, president of the subsidiary of the state owned company PT Semen Gresik. 
 
The plants will facilitate and improve efficiency in distribution especially in Ternate in the eastern region of Maluku where demand for cement is expected to grow faster in the coming years, Taba said.
