Indonesia’s largest maker of cement, PT Semen Gresik, sold 7.92Mt of cement in the first half, 5.6 per cent more than a year before, the company said Friday.

It said its first-half sales in the domestic market had been 7.12Mt, 3.1 per cent more than a year before, and that its exports had surged 36 per cent to 797,306t.

National consumption of cement in the first half amounted to 15.60Mt, against 14.55t a year earlier.
