Hoang Thach Cement Company, a member of the Vietnam Cement Corporation started the construction of its third production line on February 4 at the company’s headquarters in Kinh Mon district, northern Hai Duong province.

The new production line has a capacity of 3,300 tonnes of clinker a day, equivalent to 1.056Mt of cement a year. Total investment for the new production line is put at nearly VND 2 trillion.

This is a new, modern cement production line. Danish contractor FLSmidth A/S has been selected to design and provide equipment for the project.

The new production line is expected to be operational in early 2009. Upon its completion, total capacity of Hoang Thach Cement Company will be increased to 3.5 million tones a year.
