Chief Minister Babulal Gaur has urged the industrial sector to take up public welfare works. He was speaking at the function on Tuesday to present awards to cement manufacturing units of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The ACC Kymore Cement Works bagged the award for maximum energy conservation.
Chief Minister Babulal Gaur presented the awards. He exhorted the industries to take initiative towards undertaking social welfare works. He said that the industries can easily undertake works of constructing public gardens, roads et al.
The Chief Minister said that the public and private sectors could together do a great deal towards industrial development of the country. Among the 32 Energy Awards in different categories, ACC Kymore bagged 13. The Maihar Cement, Lafarge Cement, Century Cement, Satna Cement, Grasim Cement, Vikram Cement, Diamond Cement, Jaypee Cement and Prizm Cement also bagged awards.
These awards were sponsored by FL Smidth Ltd, Chennai and would go a long way in motivating conservation of energy by cement industries. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Ravindra Mohan, P S Marwah and those associated with the cement industry, said a release issued today.
