MANAMA: Prices of construction materials are rising sharply in Bahrein, Entrepreneurs Association member Abdulwahed Al Ferdan told local newspaper Akhbar Al Khaleej. The price of one 50kg sack of cement rose by 250 fils. A stock of 100 bricks is being priced at BD21, up from BD19. The price of precast reached BD8.500, up from BD7, whereas steel is being sold at BD245 a tonne, instead of BD125 only a few days ago. No such trend is witnessed in the other GCC countries, where prices of construction materials remained stable
