Pozzolana Ghana Ltd (PGL), a subsidiary of PMC Global Link of the USA and the State Housing Company (SHC) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to supply cement to SHC.
Ghana Business News reports that the MoU was signed by Dr Mark Nii Akwei Ankrah, Managing Director of SHC and Mr Gari Kannins, Chief Executive Officer of PMC Global Link, at a ceremony after a tour of the company’s facility at Gomoa Mprumem in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region.
Mr Ankrah said the SHC was committed to implementing the government’s Better Ghana Agenda by helping to improve the living standards of Ghanaians and providing them with quality housing to reduce the housing deficit in the country.
Mr Ankrah said PGL was a strategic company which could partner with the SHC to build more houses in the country and that “SHC has initiated a lot of projects which are ongoing and with the inputs from PGL, we are going to build more houses to serve the country housing needs.”
Mr Ankrah said the SHC was taking delivery of 1000 bags of Pozzolana cement instantly and within the period of six months 12,000 more bags would be distributed to all construction sites of SHC in the country.
