Vietnam produced 5.2Mt of cement in October, up 11 per cent from the month before and 13 per cent YoY, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.

The GSO also revised down the cement output in September to 4.7Mt from an earlier estimate of 5.2Mt.

In the first 10 months of this year, companies in Vietnam are estimated to produce 46.4Mt of cement, up five per cent from a year earlier.

The country’s cement sales are expected to rise by 4-5 YoY to 56Mt and 57Mt in 2013, including 48-49Mt of domestic sales and 7.5-8Mt of exports.
