Thang Long Cement JSC has exported 30,000t of bulk cement to Peru, its first shipment to the country and largest consignment so far this year.

Since May, the Vietnamese cement producer has exported 750,000t of cement in total, including 100,000t of OPC, Vietnam News Brief Service reported citing data from the government’s website. For the year to-date, Thang Long Cement’s total sales (domestic and exports) have reached 1.9Mt.

The company is a joint venture between the state-run Vietnam Machinery Installation Group (Lilama) and Hanoi General Export Import Corporation (Geleximco). In late 2012, Semen Indonesia acquired a 70 per cent stake in Thang Long to become a strategic shareholder.
