PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa has once again been awarded a Gold Rating by the government’s Pollution Control, Evaluation and Rating (PROPER) programme, for environmental achievements at its Palimanan factory in Indonesia. The company's Citeureup and Tarjun factories, meanwhile, received the Green Rating.
The awards were presented by Environment Minister of Indonesia, Balthasar Kambuaya to Kuky Permana, director of Human Resources & CSR, Budiono Hendranta, GM, of the Palimanan factory and Setia Wijaya, GM of the Citeureup Factory.
This achievement is in recognition of Indocement’s efforts in environment, namely implementation of environmental management (ISO 14001), the three 3Rs (Reuse, Recycle and Recovery) in managing natural resources, community development as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development.
Indonesia’s PROPER initiative is an established environmental monitoring and disclosure initiative, ranks companies on a ‘Gold to Black’ scale in terms of environmental compliance.
